Every day we move between paradoxes of self-presentation and revelation. To what extent do we present ourselves? What is concealed when we show ourselves? What is revealed when we conceal ourselves? Where are identities staged?
The audience is invited to enter a walk-in performance installation in the intermediate worlds of reality and identity.
It will be an illusionistic evening that deceives the eye and at the same time clearly demonstrates deception. Various variations of veiling and exposing open up space for interpretation and reflection.
The stage space grants and denies access and viewing directions, while the installation forces the audience to make their own decisions: where do I look? What do I forego in order to see the other? To what extent do I approach? How curious am I? How much do I want to be part of the performance myself – self-expression or avoidance, surveillance or safe space, reality or staging?
Where are the boundaries or do they still exist?
